Butterfly API
Butterfly API is a simple helper API for my Fabric mods.
It mostly exists to make things easier for me and allow things that would normally take a lot of code in my projects to be more compact by leaving it to Butterfly API to handle instead.
What It Adds
Butterfly API adds helper systems for many mod features and systems, like registering items, blocks, sounds, entities, particles, enchantments, recipes, status effects, and other basic content.
There's also a very in-depth Outline Library that heavily expands on the idea from the Glowing effect in vanilla, now allowing it to be applied to near-anything, and it also gives much more visual control to make things look exactly how you want them.
It also includes helper code for creative tabs, client setup, simple gameplay math, and reusable plush blocks.
Lastly there's also a large system in place for Text features, for things like more color control, gradients, and rotations and mirroring on Text, and there's also a simple system for tooltips aswell for expanding tooltips and such.
Plushes
Butterfly API includes a shared plush system used by some of my mods.
This makes it easier to add small placeable plush blocks with things like direction, waterlogging, honk sounds, squish behavior, and optional GeckoLib Animations.
For Developers
Butterfly API can be used by other Fabric mod developers who want access to the same helper systems I use in my own mods.
The GitHub page includes more information about the API, setup, usage, and examples for using it in your own project.
